El Mercado is a monthly marketplace that offers locally handmade artistic and crafted products and services. Events happen one Saturday of the month on the 2nd floor of El Taller / Cafe Azteca in downtown Lawrence, MA. Each month will be curated around a different theme and are designed to celebrate our local makers and those who celebrate them!

My name is Ivanna, I’m from the Dominican Republic, and since I came I’ve been living in Lawrence. I started my business last year because I want to follow my dream of having my own business. My goal is to work full-time for my business.

Armonia Jewelry is Latina Owned Gold Jewelry company in Lawrence, MA. We are third generation jewelers specializing in nameplate jewelry.


Cayena Handmade by Ileana Arias (she/her)

Cayena Handmade is a small business that makes pottery, candles, gift boxes, soaps etc. I started out as a hobby in my spare time, but now I will be sharing my finished pieces. I love creating, and want to share my creations with everyone! I also love supporting local markets. I want everyone to enjoy my pottery, and want to be able to share it with friends and family!

Hi, I’m Fantasma. I create art from many different mediums. At the moment I am painting illustrations from my head onto tote bags. I have always been drawn to spirits and creating art about them to better understand the afterlife. Most of my art reflects my journey of understanding. Thank you!

LEVH is an acronym for my full name, and in its abbreviated form can phonetically sound like "love". LEVH Arts- stands for me loving the arts and all the mediums it comes in. My love for creating means that a lot of my art comes to life in different forms and mediums. Such as polymer clay sculptures and accessories, and digital and traditional artworks.

My name is Amanda Diaz owner of MandeeCurls . I am a curl specialist , specializing in natural hair styling and colors. My goal is for each person to love and accept their hair how it natural grows and teach ways to care maintain their hair as a self expression

Lead maker and designer of CHELLE, Sherly Garcia will be merchandising womenswear and gender neutral clothing created with dead stock fabric. Chelle"s creative universe hopes to inspire people to listen to themselves and feel comfortable in who they are.

Trippylandia is Latina artist and wardrobe stylist. Her art is based of a psychedelic, grunge and abstract work.


UWander by Wanny Munoz (she/her)

Proud Lawrencian, female founder and social entrepreneur.

Wanny Muñoz is currently the Senior People, Culture, and Belonging Partner for Hi Marley, a Boston-based insurtech startup with the mission to make insurance lovable. In her life before serving as a champion for people and inclusion in the private sector, she was a community organizer, educator, and facilitator of experiences. With a lifelong commitment to empowering communities Wanny founded UWander, a social enterprise dedicated to inspiring inclusive travel, service and wellness that honors all walks of life. Since its inception in 2014, UWander has impacted over 1,500 students and 200 volunteers with over 5,300 hours of cultural exchange and service learning programming internationally. Additionally, UWander has led monthly virtual wellness retreats throughout the pandemic to support educators, healthcare workers and professionals of color. It opened its first retreat center in November 2022 to where they host retreats for the BIPOC community.

I’m a mother of 3 and a grandmother of a 5yr old, since I was a teenager I’ve always loved to create from the simplest to the hardest and had always given me the most rewarding feeling a lot of my creative juices comes from my 15yr old daughter, which at the same time we’re bonding and motivates her creativity as well.
